The title of this project is called ‘The Blacksmith’. With this game project, I noticed the edginess, and darkness from the visuals immediately. Both characters appeared to be possible giants. I wanted to create an audio experience that would faithfully capture the same essence along with giving size and space to each character and the environment. My contributions for this sound redesign were Foley, Sound Effects Editing, Character Voice Over, Basic implementation with Wwise,Linear and Nonlinear Mixing.

Within this reel, I decided to redesign the sound to one of my childhood favorites. I wanted the audience to feel as if they were on a peaceful vacation getaway. This was my interpretation of a hot evening during sunset on a beach. My contributions were: Foley, Ambience, Linear Mixing, Voice Over, an Original Score added for the loading screen as well as the hotel lobby scene. Furthermore, in the in the lobby scene, you can faintly hear a newly added pulsing sound effect for the save game icon and also a more dramatic sound effect has been added for the weapons wheel.

Actually, this is the first demo reel for gaming that I’ve produced. In this particular video, I had a lot of fun in the creative process. In contrast to my other demo reels, Logic Pro was utilized instead of Pro Tools. My contributions include: Foley, Sound Effects, Enemy VOX, Ambience, Original Scoring, and Linear Mixing. Original Scoring was added to enhance the different notifications (in the gameplay): such as ‘Achievement’, ‘Discovery’, and the ‘Final Scene of Combat’.


CHARACTER DESIGN
SOUND REDESIGN
In this reel, my goals were to give life to the character’s movements. Varieties of the ground surfaces had to be explored, features of the landscape needed to be created for the virtual world. The character wore spacesuits. The spacesuits (alternative clothing) included materials such as nylon, mylar, leather and neoprene. Ground surfaces included: metal, rocky terrain and snow. My contributions for this project were: Foley, Vocalizations, Basic Implementation with Wwise and Nonlinear Mixing.


For this reel, I redesigned every aspect of sound including voice overs. I had a lot of fun with this particular project, due to this being a spin off from one of my favorite shows growing up. My contributions are Foley, Ambiance, Sound Effects, Voice Over, and an Original score. The linear mixing was done in Pro Tools, and the original score was created in Logic Pro. Foley and Sound Effects were also created and recorded in Pro Tools.
